Public Projects

The City of Albany (City) is requesting proposals from licensed contractors to provide the City with on-call Public Right-of-Way (PROW) Construction Services. The City intends to issue several three-year term contracts to be used as the need arises. Services will be used for a variety of repairs and maintenance needs. Proposers are encouraged to focus on their areas of strength and are not required to team with a large number of subcontractors to cover all potential types of work. Proposals are not required to cover all scopes of work outlined in the Scope of Service.

The City intends to issue a three-year term contract with the option to renew at the end of the year for an additional year, for these services, to be used as the need arises. The City intends to issue several three-year term contracts with the option to renew at the end of the year for an additional year, for these services, to be used as the need arises. Services will be used for a variety of small and medium projects. Proposers are encouraged to focus on their areas of strength and are not required to team with a large number of sub-consultants to cover all potential types of projects.

Repair of sidewalks at 35 locations throughout the City including, but not limited to, removal and replacement of concrete sidewalk, concrete driveway approach, and as-needed tree maintenance work such as root shaving and root pruning

Construct ADA compliant curb ramps, pedestrian refuge islands, and other pedestrian improvements at various intersections along San Pablo Avenue. The project will also consist of traffic signal modifications, signing and striping, installation of valley gutters, curb and gutter modifications, conform paving operations, and adjustment of various utility frame and covers to grade.

The proposed project will rehabilitate sewers located beneath unimproved areas, sidewalks and in roadways in various locations in the City of Albany. In general, the work to be done under this contract consists of rehabilitating approximately 7,100 feet of 6” and 21” VCP sewer mains using pipe bursting, open trench, and CIPP lining methods. The project will also involve the installation of new lower laterals for the replaced sewer lines, and installation of new manhole structures, rehabilitation of existing manhole structures, disposal of contaminated soil and restoration of all private and public improvements and landscaping in the City of Albany, including all labor, equipment and materials, together with traffic control.

The Project is located in Albany, California and consists of storm drain infrastructure repairs, such as cross drain tread plate replacement, concrete inlet repair, drain inlet replacements, and curb and gutter repairs.

The Project is located in Albany, California, and is described as follows: Slurry seal overlay on approximately 7 miles of City streets (approximately 125,000 square yards), road base repair through 4-inch and 12-inch digouts, grinding and replacing existing striping, striping improvements, and curb paint.
